“The future which we hold in trust for our own children will be shaped by our fairness to other people’s children”- Marian Wright Edelman. Whether you are a parent or not, we should all think about we can make a difference in the lives of the children that cross our path. If we are honest with ourselves, we will all be able to recognize that we are who we are today because of an adult (teacher, mentor, church member, etc.) other than our parents that saw our potential and invested in us. We can never repay these individuals for all they brought to our lives; but we can honor them by pouring into those coming behind us what they poured into us.
SEM Link is a wonderful organization for you to pour into those that are coming behind you, by helping us promote student achievement and career exploration in math and science for K-12 students. Our volunteer opportunities aren’t limited to those with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) backgrounds or those who live in Metropolitan Atlanta or San Francisco Bay Area. We have a diverse set of opportunities, including virtual opportunities, which will allow you to donate your time and talent to promote students achievement and career exploration in math and science. For more information about those opportunities click here or visit our page on Volunteer Match for specific opportunities.
To sign up to volunteer with us please complete our online application and someone will contact you to discuss opportunities based on your interest and availability. If you have any more questions feel free to contact us by phone at (888)600-6294 or by email at email@example.com.
