Math and Science Career Academy

SEM Link’s Math and Science Career Academy exposes students to math and science through hands-on activities, real-world applications and career exploration. Through the activities below, we have exposed hundreds of Metro Atlanta youth to the possibilities of careers in math and science through the following activities:

Hands-on Science Activities provide opportunities for students to get their “hands” dirty with math and science activities targeted at our community partners’ after-school and weekend programming. We also provide options for home schooled children to engage in hands on science activities.

• Science Cafés are informal and interactive scientific seminars for K-12 students, parents and educators that discuss real-world applications of science, engineering and mathematics.
• The Science, Engineering and Mathematics Career Fair and Exhibition is our signature annual event (first Saturday in May), where students are exposed to science, engineering and mathematics careers in an environment similar to a job fair.
