Other countries are leading the way in advancing technology, biomedical research, manufacturing, environmental research, etc. One of the reasons why these countries are forging ahead is because of strong support and infrastructure.  Once a leader in inventions, engineering design and scientific breakthroughs, the United States math and science education infrastructure is quickly diminishing and it doesn’t produce students that achieve academically in these subjects areas let alone create the pipeline for the future workforce. SEM Link creates the future we want to see by promoting student achievement and career exploration in math and science.

If we want to ensure that the United States is once again a leader in innovation and prepares our students to be a part of the future global science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) workforce; we all have to do our part to improve the math and science education infrastructure in our country.  We can’t rely on the schools alone in order to educate our children and give them the tools needed to pursue STEM careers.  We need to create partnerships between corporations, academia, government agencies and community organizations to enhance the math and science educational experiences for K-12 students and prepare them for pursuing STEM careers. No organization can achieve its mission without partnerships.  We live in an interdependent world with limited resources. Partnerships allow us to share resources so that we can all accomplish our organizational goals. Every organization has something to bring to the table which will not only enhance their own goals but also that of another organization. As a corporate partner, your organization and SEM Link will work together to promote student achievement and career exploration in math and science.  Your organization can serve as a corporate partner by contributing whatever resources you have large or small so that you  can help close the educational achievement gap as well as  contribute to the creation of  future science, technology, engineering and mathematics workforce by “unveiling potential through exposure”.
