This program exposes students to math and science through hands-on activities, real-world applications and career exploration. Through the activities below, we have exposed hundreds of Metro Atlanta youths to the possibilities of careers in science, technology, engineering and math:
Hands-on Math and Science Activities provides hands on math and science educational activities to foster students’ interest in math and science. To request hands on activities for your school or program, you must make your request at least 4 weeks prior to when you would like the activity conducted at your school or program. Please complete the online application above.
Math and Science Literacy Club-provide opportunities for students to develop their math and science literacy skills by reading math and science related magazines, articles, journals and nonfiction and fiction books. A monthly reading list will be developed for each educational segment (K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12) and posted on our website. Students are encouraged to meet monthly to discuss what they have read with other students at monthly literacy clubs, both sponsored by SEM Link or by your school, church or community organization
Science Cafés are informal and interactive scientific seminars for K-12 students, parents and educators that discuss real-world applications of science, engineering and mathematics. These events are free and open to the public.
The Science, Engineering and Mathematics Career Fair and Exhibition is our signature annual event (first Saturday in May), this event expose students to science, engineering and mathematics careers in an environment similar to a job fair.
